Restoring Relationships (Matthew 5:23-26)

“So if you are standing before the altar in the Temple, offering a sacrifice to God, and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, leave you sacrifice there beside the altar. Go and reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God. Come to terms quickly with your enemy before it is too late and you dragged into court, handed over to an officer, and thrown in jail. I assure you that you won’t be free again until you have paid the last penny.” Matthew 5:23-26

Broken relationships can hinder our relationship with God. If we have a problem or grievance with someone, we should resolve the problem as soon as possible. We are hypocrites if we claim to love God while we hate others. Our attitudes toward others reflect our relationship with God.
