Vallacar donates P3.9 shuttle bus

Vallacar Transit Incorporated, owner of a fleet of Ceres buses, will be transferring via donation one shuttle bus in favor of Dumaguete City after negotiations with Mayor Felipe “Ipe” Remollo.

The City Council has already authorized Mayor Remollo to sign the deed of donation for the bus, which is expected to be turned over within the week.

Represented by Vice-President for Legal Atty. Collin Derk Y. Isidto, the shuttle (Hino) bus currently valued at P 3.9 million will be given to the City of Gentle People in support to Remollo’s priority activities towards health, youth and sports development, among others.

The administration will try to negotiate for more donations from other companies in pursuit of their corporate social responsibility. The value of any donation may be used to deduct a company’s tax liability before the Bureau of Internal Revenue and other agencies subject to the laws, rules and regulations surrounding tax deduction.

Vallacar and Mayor Remollo are also currently studying the possibility for the former to establish bus two terminals (north and south) to further relieve the city downtown area from heavy volume of traffic.
